Event Description
New legislative requirements, emerging technologies, evolving user needs and market pressures are creating new opportunities in the global payments ecosystem. Countries around the world are examining ways to better meet the payment needs of consumers, businesses and governments. In Canada, the Canadian Payments Association (CPA) is leading an extensive research and outreach initiative to better understand the gaps and opportunities. The findings will help define a roadmap to modernize Canada’s national payments system. With an eye to the future, the CPA is already enhancing its current operations, enabling advancements such as image-based clearing via remote deposit capture and the roll-out of ISO 20022 payment messages. In this session, learn more about the direction of the changes the CPA is making to create positive change in the Canadian payments ecosystem – now and in the future.
For this session, AFP Calgary us excited to welcome Gerry Gaetz, President and CEO of the Canadian Payments Association (CPA) who will provide an insightful outlook on the payments landscape.
